Teapot Tuesday

How about talking turkey here?  I know you guys love Teapot Tuesday as much as I do so here is a turkey teapot to make  you think of Thanksgiving.  I am thankful it is not November!!!  How about you?   “There are those who love to get dirty and fix things. They drink coffee at dawn, beer after work. And those who stay clean, just appreciate things. At breakfast they have milk and juice at night. There are those who do both, they drink tea.”  Gary Snyder … [Read more...]

And Then the Post Thanksgiving Malaise Begins

Maybe you don't get it but I do.  The post Thanksgiving malaise. That feeling that all the fun is about to end.  Back to reality.  I feel out of sorts. At loose ends. Silly, I know, but it happens almost every year.  No matter how wonderful the holiday has been --and this year was tops---it just signals to me that another Thanksgiving is in the bank and we are on to the hustle and bustle of the upcoming Christmas season. I love for Thanksgiving to linger.  It is perhaps my favorite … [Read more...]

It is Not Happy People Who Are Thankful–It is Thankful People Who Are Happy!

It is Thanksgiving and time to give thanks!  Today I am using a prompt to list a bunch of random things that I am grateful for.  Join in and share with me what you are grateful for today. A friend---Ann--my BFF. Physical activity that you can do-----walk without any discomfort or pain. Something kind---a smile. And What Did YOU Find When You Came Home From Vacation?

It started out fabulously and ended fabulously.  Our Thanksgiving vacation get away was a huge success from start to finish and I am now trying to catch up and get back into the groove of life which is proving to be more difficult than imagined.  Why is that?? We started out our adventure with two … [Read more...]

Gone Too Soon?

Life sometimes comes at you full force and hits you in the face.  I feel a little bit like that lately and today's post may be more for me than for any of my readers .  Sometimes it just helps me to put it down on paper.  Or in this case---on screen. I had it all planned out---a nice little early birthday vacation get away for my mom.  We were going to go spend a few days together, see a show, stay at a nice hotel and eat yummy food.  Plane ticket bought, hotel booked, show booked, routes … [Read more...]

Number 26—Warm Hoodies

Today I am VERY thankful for warm hoodies and sweaters !!! It has turned chilly here and the game last night was REALLY chilly! Poor Aaron was about frozen due to his lack of body fat! We had a great time at the Texas - Texas A& M game but left before it was over because we were all freezing to death. Went back to watch the rest of it in the comfort and warmth of Micah's place and that was wonderful! Great day, great time with the family and even though we missed being with our … [Read more...]
