Snow, Countdown and Talking Nativity

The time to Christmas is winding down…..I think I am ready! The hardest thing will be packing for the trip but hey–I am a packing professional by now so I ought to be able to get that done without too much stress. The snow here has slowed things down a bit but I have managed to get the cookies made, the cards / letters written and sent, the presents wrapped and shipped with enough time left over to enjoy the husband’s birthday and Christmas! Yea for me!!! Not working is definitely a plus when it comes to trying to get things done in a busy time! I even took some cookies to some places yesterday to share which was great! One place I took to was a senior retirement complex that they built outside our neighborhood. It was one of those highly contested buildings—many people did not want it in their back yard and protested and tried to stop the building but now that it is here hopefully everyone has calmed down a bit. I got such a warm welcome when I went in and shared my tray of cookies with about 10 of the residents who were in the common room drinking coffee that it was heart warming! Made my day!!! You know–it really does not take much!!! I was happy to share and spread some Christmas cheer!

Been trying to get used to my new computer and I really love it already but still have a few things to get put on it and sorted out—-that is going to be the job of the IT Analyst Aaron at Christmas. Poor kid never gets a break! Always on call for the mom!

Not sure how many more entries I will get into Cookiepalooza but anyone who wants to join in I will be doing the drawing on Sunday night so I can ship out to the winner on Monday just in time for Christmas sharing!! Just make a comment on any entry on my blog and you will be entered!!!

And before I leave—a video from Mr. Bean. This really looks like something my brother, Mark, would do–he always had his stuffed animals talking when we were growing up so when I saw this it made me think of him!

  1. Hi! I’ve been hopping about today and landed on your lovely, funny, entertaining blog. We used to have all the Mr Bean videos when my son was younger so this reminded me of that time. I hope your brother isn’t totally like Mr Bean though! I’ve bookmarked your page so I can return and visit again as I can’t find a follow button.
