If I have been AWOL lately it is because I have a new project. One that is consuming me until I feel like I have it under control. I am woman possessed. More so than usual. As some of you know I am a volunteer for Hospice of North Iowa. I love what they do. As a volunteer I have been able to have 2 "relationships" with women at the end of life. I am so excited to report that the Comments for a Cause, Crisis Intervention Services, here in Mason City will receive a whopping $ 192.50 in donations of movie gift cards, gas cards and other needed items for their clients to use due to 385 comments on my blog, Facebook and personal emails that came through this month in support of this great organization. Reconfiguring? You Betcha!
Sometimes life comes hard and fast. This has been one of those weeks when I have realized that fact. A good friend from North Carolina lost her mother. Another long time friend from our Navy days lost her father. I am in that age range now where this is a common occurrence for deaths of those we are close to.
