It’s Snowing on Teapot Tuesday

It appears that winter might have arrived ahead of schedule this year with the cold temperatures and the remaining snow piles that will undoubtedly be replenished before the end of the year.  With that being said I don’t actually hate winter.  I just wish that when the snow and ice fell it would avoid the sidewalks, driveways and roads.  Is that too much to ask?  I don’t think so.

Today’s teapot was an eBay find from the woman who was selling her mother’s massive teapot collection.  Yes—it was way bigger than mine and I reaped the benefits. This cute little teapot is all blue and sparkly and snowy. Perfect for a winter brew.

It snowed last year too: I made a snowman and my brother knocked it down

and I knocked my brother down and then we had tea.

  1. That is SO beautiful (or should that be “SNOW beautiful”? sorry….)! I totally agree with you that it would be wonderful if snow avoided the highways, sidewalks, etc….. I don’t think that’s too much to ask at all. We don’t get much snow, so when we do, it’s even worse. I’m the first to admit that I don’t know how to drive in it: how can I learn when we have it so rarely??
    Enjoy your day!

    • I know I live in a dream world but how wonderful would it be to just have snow where and when it was convenient for us? 🙂 I am not as brave at driving in it as I used to be —I like to just stay home until it is all cleared up!

  2. Adorable! I love that quote, too!! It made me laugh. 🙂

  3. Wonderful quote and this is the perfect teapot for the season.

No, I don’t think that’s too much to ask, that the snow stay off roads, driveways and sidewalks.

  4. That quote makes me laugh. It’s great!

  5. Love the quote, cracks me up! Beautiful blue snow teapot Beth Ann!

  6. Love the quote and love that Dylan Thomas drank tea no matter the occasion. Lovely pot. There are treasures in estate sales.
When and if it snows, we just stay indoors, something more difficult to do for our Northern and Midwestern neighbors. fyi It does snow in Dallas…infrequently…but they do seem to get it once or twice a year in the form of an ice storm. One year very recently, I think 2012, schools, businesses and offices shut down for a week.

    • I know about ice in those southern states. NC always seemed to have some every winter and since my hubby does his research he already warned me of ice and cold in Dallas area. 🙂 It’s all good. I just like to avoid it as much as I can.

  7. I´m glad to be away from the snow bit I do love that delightful teapot. And of course the Dylan Thomas quote was just perfect! Keep warm and dry and have plenty of tea.

  8. Fit for royalty I would say..

  9. Love the snowy decorations on this pot!

  10. Perfect teapot for winter! Love the quote too!

  11. I’m sitting right here having my own cup of hot tea, reading your blog. Your unending stream of teapots continues to amaze and amuse.

  12. She is a very dainty lady!! I like her snowflake on top specifically!

  13. Lovely and christmassy!

  14. I really like this one!!! It would totally match my blue dishware and glasses, and she’s a bit sparkly – perfect! 🙂

  15. Lovely. 🙂

  16. The perfect snowflake teapot for a wintry day. A wintry day in autumn, at that! I could just see that happening (the quote). Well, the first part of it, anyway. I picture my grandkids doing that, but they would finish it off with hot chocolate.

  17. All those protrusions on the handle look like the spines on dinosaurs! Don’t they hurt when you try to pour a full pot?
