Share Your World –Week 46

Cee from Cee’s Photography offers a weekly challenge to Share Your World . What a great way to share what is going on in my little mind without having to think too much.  Hop on over to Cee’s and join in on the Share Your World challenge.  I don’t do it every week but it is fun to do it every once in awhile.  This week’s questions made me think….just a little bit.

On a vacation what you would require in any place that you sleep? A comfy bed and good pillows—I have spent my share of nights in hotels with neither and while I am not usually a picky person I like those comforts.  I also love when hotels have charging stations for phones and electronics close to the bed with more than one outlet.  Perfect for my technological life that I lead.  I often find myself moving nightstands and unplugging things so that I can access an outlet to charge all the things that come with me.  Oh and a good coffee maker—-I love when the hotels have a Keurig–just saying.

Music or silence while working? Music. Almost always music.  I love to listen to music and it inspires me when I am doing just about anything.playlist

If you were to move and your home came fully furnished with everything you ever wanted, list at least three things from your old house you wish to retain? This one is pretty easy—-Chris, Buddy and Holly.  I assume the new house would not come with husband and animals already in place.  🙂   If it were means “items” that would be more difficult.  My favorite Bible, one special teapot that I would have a very difficult time choosing and ……oh goodness—maybe the antique hutch that my father in law refinished?  That would be a hard call for me.

What’s your least favorite mode of transportation? Motorcycle.  Now ask me if I have ever even been on one.  Nope and don’t intend to .  I have several friends who are die hard Harley riders but not me—does not appeal to me in the least but I love that they love it.

Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up? I am very grateful for time spent with family this past week.  I got to see my sweet Carlton and totally enjoyed that.

carltonI am looking forward to more family time and friend time during the next week.  I am blessed. How about you?share your world

  1. I’ve never participated in Share Your World, but it does look like a fun blog hop. I can relate to moving furniture around in a hotel room in order to have my phone nearby!

  2. Great answers! And come on-give a Harley a chance! 😉

  3. A ride on a Harley is exhilarating! And fun too.. 😉

  4. I must say I agree with your answers today with exception somewhat on the motorcycle. I did have a “Honda Scooter”; loved riding it, just didn’t like the traffic I had to deal with when riding.

    • It is the other drivers that scare me if I would be on a motorcycle. Yikes. I always try to be careful when I see bikes but not everyone respects them like they should.

  5. Lovely to see that smile again!!!
You know, I don’t think there is a single item from my house that I would take to a new fully furnished home! Everything we own is basically from our single lives before we married, or hand me down. nothing is new — I’d love NEW!! If I took anything, it would probably just be my plants. I’m assuming my computer will come with me, so I will have all my photos.
Always music! and would love to ride on a motorbike – oh yes!!

    • I know every one has missed my Carlton stories. They are fewer and farther between these days because we just don’t see him that much. That is the down side of living away from the family.

  6. Thanks so much for sharing this week. I sure enjoyed reading your responses.

  7. YES to the coffee maker in the hotel room. That’s a welcome plus. When I traveled to Amsterdam a few years ago, we stayed on a houseboat. That’s the most unusual “hotel” I’ve ever stayed in.

  8. Blessed. Yes, we are. I count you among my blessings, dear friend.

  9. I think I would like Carlton a great deal!

  10. You can’t say you don’t like it until you’ve tried it! Ride on! 😉

  11. I’d love it if on vacation it was totally quiet when I slept. Wouldn’t that be wonderful? And in my new house, assuming husband and Katie were already installed…I’d want the sampler my grandmother embroidered in 1925, and my laptop with all the photos and a little kitchen witch hanging under my cabinets, that my brother gave me when we were kids. This past week I”m thankful that we didn’t get the snow that Buffalo had.

  12. This is an interesting blog hop…I think I will join in once in a while.

Like you, I need music to work…quiet is really not my style

  13. Helen Brown says:

I am so happy that you visited me! I have four great children plus spouses and grandchildren. I would love to live closer to them.

  14. It’s good to see Carlton! It looks like he is doing well. We used to have a motorcycle. One trip through the tunnel, I could feel the heat on my back from the engine of a large truck following too closely. Not a good feeling!

  15. Between the ages of 15 & 19 I spent my life on the back of a bike (motorcycle)! As soon as there was a dry strip down the middle of the street in March or April until the first snow fell in the fall, I never rode in a car. ALL my boyfriends had motorcycles. And my parents hated it!
I was in a motorcycle accident when I was 16. We rear-ended a car going about 30 miles per hour when my boyfriend was shoulder checking & the car in front of us stopped suddenly. I flew up in the air, did a somersault & landed on the roof of the car we hit while my boyfriend used his face to plow into the pavement. No serious injuries for either of us, but when my father showed up in the emergency room he yelled so loud!

  16. The more charging stations the better I find when traveling. The first thing I do is hook my phone, then lap top, then tablet up.
