That is nothing short of breathtaking!
I captured it at just the right moment. Of course I also have about 100 other ones that are not quite as stunning!!! The joy of digital photography!
What a stunning image. Butterflies are just a joy to watch. Not as easy to photograph, though.
Thanks! It was one of a lot of pictures taken!!! But the best one, by far! I think it will show up on a calendar!
Ah, a butterfly “Slurpee”..
Yummmmmm!
That made me smile.
This is a beautiful shot! It could be on a card. One of the only insects I’m not scared of. Was this in Iowa?
It was Saturday in Texas at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden. There are so many butterflies migrating !!!
If you get a chance while you live in Texas-stop by Angelo’s BBQ! We used to go here when I was a kid. Nobody makes beef brisket like the Texans. Seriously, they don’t:)
Totally agree about the brisket. The best i have ever had was in Austin. Yum. Where is Angelo’s???
It’s in Fort Worth. Haven’t been there for years-a friend visited last year and said it was still good. Looks like a hole in the wall.
Great! My goal this weekend is to get a selfie with a longhorn….
Wow beautiful shot. 🙂
Thanks!!!
Perfect shot! You have a lot of patience to wait for that butterfly to open her wings just so. 🙂
Stunning!!! I was so lucky to get up close and personal with a monarch recently too. It just sat there forever and let me take a zillion pictures. truly beautiful moment to capture.
Beth Ann – Yes, you must go by Angelo’s BBQ. It’s just north of downtown Fort Worth on White Settlement Road. Best BBQ around! BTW – love the butterfly shot – spectacular!
