Teapot Tuesday

A presidential teapot?  Why, of course!!!  Who doesn’t want to have tea with the presidents?  Made in 1966 this teapot features the presidents up until that date.

Drink your tea slowly and and reverently, as if it is the axis the world earth revolves—slowly, evenly, without rushing towards the future.   Thich Nat Hahn

  1. I am not all that surprised, since I have seen ones with the Queen/Royal Family in Canada. I think an aunt of mine even had a special edition one of Prince Charles and Diana’s wedding!

  2. I’ll have to admit I’ve not even thought of that type of teapot before but what an addition it is!

  3. Isn’t that interesting!?

  4. I love history so, of course, I like this teapot.

  5. Inspired me to hop up put my hand over my heart and say the pledge of allegiance!

  6. Perfect pick for primary Tuesday.

  7. If they were making a pot with the picture of the president that we have now… It would be on a chamber pot. Sorry for the political statement, but that’s how I feel about this guy and what he is doing to this country.

  8. Wow! Feel like standing and saluting! Very nice!

  9. This one would be great if you were studying for a history test. Are all 36 Presidents up to then depicted? It seems to end at Dwight Eisenhower in 1961. Are JFK and Lyndon B. Johnson hiding somewhere on the teapot? I love the Thich Nat Hahn quote too.

  10. I have to say that’s pretty awesome!

  11. Helen Brown says:

A history on your teapot. It is very unusual but very nice.

  12. Nice ending quote — tea definitely should be sipped. Slowly! As for the pot, well, it’s certainly interesting. Though there are a few presidents photographed that I for one would NOT enjoy drinking tea with, ha!

  13. Great for your Presidents Day tea party!

  14. That is a must for a teapot collector… I had never thought of a teapot with the presidents on it! Now you need to find one that updated.. 🙂

  15. Guess this would come in handy if you’re trying to name the presidents!

  16. That’s unique, I’ve never seen anything like it.
