Books, Books, Books! I’ve Got Books!

booksandbloggersJUNE14You may remember that I joined up with the Chaotic Goddess bunch to do a Book Swap awhile back and it is time to fulfill the final part of my obligation and post about what my wonderful swap partner, Ellen from The Canon, gifted me.

The concept was simple—-each swap partner was to gift the other with a book that she/he loves, one that hasn’t been read yet and one that the partner wanted.  Ellen did a smashing job of gifting me the perfect trio of books.P1020859

First of all—-book number one Naked In Death Nora Roberts writing as J.D. Robb is the first book in Ellen’s favorite series.  I have not read a single one of these so it was a perfect choice.

Second–Sue Grafton’s F is For Fugitive from her popular alphabet series is a fabulous one to add to my to be read pile and Ellen told me that she has always wanted to read the series so that is why she chose this one for me.

Finally Ellen picked the perfect book off my wish list—Oolong Dead by Laura Childs from her Tea Shop Mystery series.  I have read a couple in the series and as a tea lover it is the perfect series for me.

Along with a cute card Ellen added a package of Teapigs marakesh mint teabags.  Perfect for accompanying my reading binge that is coming up. Thanks, Ellen, and Chaotic Goddesses for the perfect swap!!!

What would top your wish list if you had a book wish list???

  1. Some interesting books to think about reading! I couldn’t pick one book at the top of my list to read… so many books! Good Morning!

    • Good morning, Pix! I know what you mean—-I have been working through my pile and have not been to the library in a month which is VERY unusual for me. I have had so many given to me or won in Goodreads giveaways that I have to get those under control. and not as much time for reading the past couple of days!

  2. Looks like you got a good trio of books. I always enjoy a good mystery, a storyline that pulls me in to the point that I can’t put the book down.

  3. I have a stack of several books to read but not a particular one jumps to mind…just wish I could get time to open one of them! Then, here I checked out another book from library yesterday…The Forgotten Seamstress by Liz Trenow…so go figure that decision!!!

  4. I hope that you enjoy the books!

  5. I’m keeping my Want to Read list in my phone, Beth Ann. It’s getting longer by the day!

  6. Looks like you’re all set for awhile!

  7. So many books, so little time. I had to get rid of some of mine (donated to the local Hospital Auxiliary Thrift Shop) I always have a large TBR stack but I would like to read Life After Life by Kate Atkinson and A Fortunate Life by A.B. Facey. (So pleased you enjoyed Amanda’s adventures in Arabia.)

  8. The new book by Richard Paul Evans. I can’t remember the name but it is in our library here but I have too many things to do so will not even try to get it now. If i got it, the work would not get done.

  9. Teapigs- I love it! Sounds like a fun cozy mystery, and two great summer thrillers. What a combo! Thanks for joining us for this one…and happy reading!

  10. I’m with Pix, too many books to pick one on the spur of the moment.

  11. The J.D. Robb book – is that the one with Eve Dallas as the detective? If it is, I’ve read some of the books in the series.

I love your comments--each one makes me smile and makes a difference for Comments for a Cause! Thanks!
