Teapot Tuesday

Not sure what kind of tea would taste best brewed in a chicken teapot but this one is a cutie, isn't it?  Tea suggestions welcome!!! It is very strange, this domination of our intellect by our digestive organs. We cannot work, we cannot think, unless our stomach wills so. It dictates to us our emotions, our passions. After eggs and bacon, it says, "Work!" After beefsteak and porter, it says, "Sleep!" After a cup of tea (two spoonsful for each cup, and don't let it stand more than … [Read more...]

The Write Stuff

This past week I was thinking about how things change over time.  I must be feeling nostalgic or something but I spent a little bit of time reminiscing about how things used to be when I was younger and one of those memories was about how we used to communicate with one another. I went to a college that was several hours away from where my parents lived and since it was long before the ease of having cell phones at our disposal we had to come up with other methods of keeping in touch.  The … [Read more...]

A Bit of Post World Book Night Syndrome

Have you ever anticipated something for a really long time and then when the thing that you anticipated for so long finally arrives it is a bit of a let down emotionally?  I think I am suffering Post World Book Night Syndrome. The day has come and gone and I am left…….a bit sad.  There, I said it.  My experience was just that---a bit sad.  But a learning experience. I thought that my first foray into the World Book Night adventure would be best suited if I could get someplace who would … [Read more...]

It is April 23rd and that signals two important events.  First of all it is the 29th birthday of my sweet son, Micah! Happy Birthday to an amazing son!  The other event is a world wide event. Back in February I shared the wonderful news that I was one of the chosen ones meaning that I was selected to be a book giver for World Book Night on April 23, 2014.  You can read here how excited I was to be chosen. This week is one that features my favorite color--red.   I can not get enough red teapots in my collection.  Tell me what you think of this find in the comments!   Christopher Robin … [Read more...]

KitTea Anyone?

I am going to come clean.  I am a cat lover.  I know it is a shock to all of you, isn't it?  Because I NEVER post pictures of my cats Buddy and Holly.  I found a fabulous concept that I am thinking might become all the rage.  You know there are a lot of places where dogs are welcome.  Many restaurants cater to dog owners and allow their customers to bring their dogs along with them with designated (usually outdoor ) areas where those folks can dine with their doggie companions.  I think it is … [Read more...]
