Wordless Wednesday

  1. Ha, ha, I suppose one does lose privacy. Wondering where the photo was. And wondering what the smaller print at the bottom says. My eyes are bad.

Hope you are staying warm, my friend!

    Hugs from Ecuador,

    • It says “You lost that when you joined the Navy. Paul Weisman, Boatswain’s Mate”. i took this on the USS North Carolina that is on display in Wilmington, NC. It is a really great place to tour—we totally enjoyed our visit the last time we were down there visiting Aaron over Christmas.

  2. Was this photo shot in a Navy museum? Wasn’t Chris in the Navy? Ah, yes, pretty certain that he was.

  3. Ha. That’s awesome. And anyone who’s ever been stuck on a ship for any length of time serving the navy will tell you that! We heard it often enough from friends of ours who were in the Navy!!! 🙂

    • Yep—-I can not begin to imagine living in either a “tube” or on a ship like this for a long time. I am not claustrophobic but I think I might become that way !

  4. Ha! I bet
and when you become a mom. as proven by the one who just had to interrupt my shower to ask for help putting Barbie’s shoes on.

  5. A little more would have been nice, just sayin’

  6. LOL! Now that is awesome.

  7. Where in the world is this Beth Ann? How far do I have to travel to see it?

  8. Oh, my. Not the place for those with privacy issues, huh?

  9. We have visited the USS Lexington, a “large” aircraft carrier in Corpus Christi, TX….now talk about a ship! Yet I still felt claustrophobic in some areas. I can only imagine how many of those type of pics were on display in real life!!! HA much more than we’ll ever know!

    • Oh that would be another great carrier to tour. I love being able to actually see things like this that make me realize how others have to live to protect us!

  10. I hope that’s a Navy shower he’s taking, “save the fresh water shipmate”..

  11. I imagine this to be true–all privacy is lost during childbirth, too!

  12. Oh, I’m really shy–I wouldn’t survive. And I’m not a morning person. I would love to be a morning person, but it just hasn’t happened yet in 39 years.

  13. Hahaha…I don’t think I can live that kinda life.

Btw…Japanase hot-bath (onsen) also doesn’t have privacy because you are not allowed to soak in the huge bath-tub with clothes on.

  14. When my mother went to the hospital she said she lost her privacy and I found that true when I went for hospital care. What made mine worse was I had a man nurse one time.

I love your comments--each one makes me smile and makes a difference for Comments for a Cause! Thanks!
