Saving Homes and Holy Lemonade

Ever wonder why I take blogging so seriously?   At times it appears to have become a full time job with little pay but you know what?   It is all about connecting with people and the relationships that we build with one another. Stay with me on this one--it is kind of complicated.  I have followed Rara's blog Rarasaur for quite awhile.  Rara is an amazing lady who is very compassionate and loving and caring and all those things that I like to embrace in my own life.  She sponsored the NaNo … [Read more...]

Puzzling Teapot Tuesday

I have to share this one today even though it is not ''technically" a teapot.  At least not one that can be used for tea.  And no----I have not attempted to take it apart and put it back together again. I am afraid I would be tea-rble at that.   The soil. The elevation. The climate. The sunshine. The rain. The tea. Body. Mind. Equanimity. Harmony. Water. Tea.     The Minister of Leaves … [Read more...]

Top Twelve Things I Learned in Bermuda

This past week Mr. Diamond and I have been in Bermuda.  Our trip got delayed 3 days because we could not get out of Atlanta, we rearranged our flights and accommodations and still were able to make the trip.  It is our last one scheduled for awhile so we decided to make the most of getting away from the horrible weather (yes, another blizzard hit while we were gone) and enjoy ourselves.  I learned a few things along the way. No trip to Bermuda is complete without being met at the airport … [Read more...]

Slightly Savory Saturday

Turkey Sausage Breakfast Casserole I first made this casserole for Christmas and have made it several times since as it has become a favorite Saturday morning treat.  Each time I tweak it a bit and add different items to spice it up.  My favorite so far is the addition of fresh mushroom slices.  Takes very little effort and the most difficult part is waiting an hour for it to bake. Enjoy. 1 pound ground turkey sausage 4 eggs, lightly beaten 4 green onions, finally chopped 1 16 ounce package … [Read more...]

Fridge Top 5

What do you ALWAYS have in your fridge?  Today I thought I would share the top 5 things that you can always find in my refrigerator. 1. Almond Milk.   I am not a milk drinker at all and when the hubby said we should try Almond Milk I was not impressed.  I figured it would be icky and not tasty. Boy, was I ever wrong!  Not only is it wonderful the shelf life is so much longer than regular milk that I don't waste it nearly as much as when we were buying the regular milk.  It is easier on the … [Read more...]

Loyalty

I have been getting comments lately about my key chain. I don't know why all of the sudden people are noticing it but they are. What do you think? Would you notice and comment on it? I suspect it is really not the adorable red B fob or the almost worn off I <3 NC with a smiley face bead that folks are noticing but instead all of my "loyalty" key tags. I was thrilled when places started letting go of the credit card sized cards that linked you to their store and were vehicles for … [Read more...]
