Global Warming in Iowa

May 2 and 3, 2013

  1. Yep…actually, this is a product of man’s messing up the natural order of things! We are just now getting water levels down after our floods. I need to get my lawn mower started!

  2. Sonia Potts says:

Beautiful Pictures (for January)! Hopefully Global Warming will start warming you all soon!

  3. Not right Mother Nature. bad form! I can’t believe I have spring flowers in my garden here in Canada — and you got snow!! crazy number we have done on the planet indeed.

  4. My, my, my. Looks like the landscape here in Faribault. Did you get to S.D.?

  5. Mary Ellen says:

Beautiful pictures to view from here in AZ! You notice I have not said much about the weather. In March, April, and May; the weather is usually picture perfect here, veryspring-like, but come August I start wondering WHY did we ever move to the desert? In August we become “mole people”; we come out only to run to our car to go somewhere else indoors or to a swimming pool or a quick weekend trip over to CA.

I’ve always wondered if students are much more motivated to study in the northern states. When March or February arrives here, no one wants to be inside. I guess we just have to accept what we have.
At least you have sons in warmer places, although I guess Micah will be heading to cold country soon.

    • My brother in Yuma told me it was in the 90’s so my pics blew him away!!! Crazy weather. I can just see you scurrying in August!!! 🙂 Happy that the boys are in warm places though you are right about Micah. I think he is going to have a HUGE adjustment. Poor guy. 🙂

  6. My grandma always used to say this is mother nature’s way of paying us back for what we’ve done to her over the years. Seeing your pictures and the flooding and rain we’ve had to deal with here, I tend to agree. Hope it warms up soon!

  7. I’m so sorry for your misfortune this year, but New England has become the new “Sun Belt” No complaints here..

  8. i”m feeling guilty about our lovely, warm, sunny day here on the west coast of Canada. Hope it warms up for you soon.

  9. If, indeed, man’s irresponsible behavior is the cause of all this I wonder what factors brought about the 100+yr record that was broken by the current weather!?! Just sayin’. Sun’s out and the snow is almost gone….yay! Hugs, D

  10. Say it isn’t snow…. (thats a lot of snow!)

  11. This is what our place looked like last week! Hope it warms up pretty soon for you!

  12. OhMyGosh Beth Ann you have my sympathy. That is just so wrong. I know how much you are wanting Spring. Iowa weather is misbehaving! Glad your snow is no snow almost today, yay!!!! Good Sunday Morning!

  13. Becky Miracle says:

Oh My!!!!!! I would say “better you than me”, but I know you are anxious for summer too. Hang in there…it has to be coming soon! We had a few nice days in the 70’s, but now they are saying rain all week. We need it, but I love Mr. Sun!

  14. kzemek says:

Oh my, so much snow you have! Maybe you should consider moving to Cleveland. We had beautiful weather all last week, sunny and 70s. Looks like it will be like that today too! I am so glad!

    • It is almost all gone today!!! Just the big plowed piles left. We are going to be warm all week so spring may finally be here. And no—-no plans to move to Cleveland!!! 🙂

  15. Wow, that was no small snowfall! You poor dear, I’d better get you a room ready…

  16. Three cheers for spring. Beautuful pictures of the snow.

I love your comments--each one makes me smile and makes a difference for Comments for a Cause! Thanks!
