Friday Friday Friday Friday At Long Last

It’s blog hop time over at Feeling Beachie.  Hop over to link up and  join in the fun!  Hilary does a great job of coming up with fill in the blanks for us and is always looking for others to co host so if you have any ideas send them to her and she will most likely use them at some time!  Show Hilary some love and make sure you leave a comment when you go to her blog!!!

Today’s fill ins are:

This week’s statements:
1. I usually ___ but never ____
2. I was named ___because ___
3. I would never change _______about my body, but I would change _________
4. The last time I said “I Love You” was to _________

My answers:This week’s statements:
1. I usually am fairly tolerant of people  but never when they are just being mean to someone or being a bully!
2. I was named  Beth Ann because my mom and dad liked the name.  Not Elizabeth—just Beth and I am happy about that!
3. I would never change  anything drastic about my body, but I would change and should change the way I treat it—-2013 is going to be get healthier year!
4. The last time I said “I Love You” was to the hubby last night on the phone and this morning in a text—he is on west coast time so no phone call yet this morning.  I say it all the time to everyone who is important to me—I don’t really think you can say it too much if you mean it.

That’s it!!!  Hilary has been hosting this for 90 weeks !!!  I think I started doing it pretty much right when she started early on so that is a long time!!!  Hope you go show her some love on her blog and give her some more encouragement as they continue to recover from Hurricane Sandy!!!   Check out her spot by clicking here.

Comments

  1. I love you sentiment that you can not say the words enough if you really mean them. Very cool.

  2. I very rarely say “I love you”, only to my husband, I must get better at this. And, I think I am the only one that is uncomfortable with her body, I have always had issues with it and I am sure I always will.

    • I am sure you are not the only one uncomfortable with her body!!! I don’t LOVE mine but have accepted that it is mine until I take steps to change it!!! 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!!!

  3. My grandma’s name was Bessie Elizabeth, two versions of the same name.

  4. My husband and kids hear “I love you” often. As does my mom. Only in the past five years or so has Mom begun saying that back to me. I grew up without ever hearing those three words, although I knew I was very much loved.

On the topic of bullying. I was bullied in middle school and absolutely do not tolerate it. Not from kids. Not from adults.

Yes, healthier living in 2013, especially exercise, should be on my list also.

  5. Mean people suck and I don’t see the need for being mean. Good luck in 2013. I went to the gym last night. I hurt 😦 I did it to myself though. Happy Friday

  6. I feel the same about the I love you’s…. you can never have too many. It’s funny though that I really started doing it once we moved here and my English was what it is now. I try to remember when we ever said it in Germany and I just can’t. It’s weird… and probably one of those stoic German things!!!! 🙂

    • That is funny that you don’t remember saying it much in Germany…..you may be right—hard for some of those cultures to express those feelings as easily as some of the rest of us are able to.

  7. One of my pet peeves are car bullies. You know the kind that drive up on your right hand side and push in in front of you because they are more important than waiting in a line of traffic.

    • Oh car bullies are the worst!!! I hate the ones that don’t merge early when they tell you to and expect you to let them in 2 miles later when they had that much time to do it !!!

  8. I love your comment about love and I agree….if you mean it it is never over stated!
I named my son Randy – not Randall or Randolph because I liked Randy… and I still do!
Have a great weekend Beth Ann

    • I love Randy, too! Our oldest is Micah and we made sure that all through school he was called that and not Mike—he likes his name even though no one seems to be able to pronounce it…

  9. I am so pleased that I have a family where most of them are huggers and not afraid to say “I love you!” It means a lot to me.

  10. I agree you can’t say I love you enough… and beth ann… I love you!

  11. I always enjoy reading your answers to these. I was named Patti, not Patricia, and wondered why when I started school and the Patty there was short for Patricia. 🙂 Funny the things we remember.
