My sweet son got me a teapot for my birthday! I finally got it when I went to visit him last week in Jacksonville Beach and I LOVE it!!! It is adorable and I thought that I should have the whole cuppa experience documented.
So with the help of my Mr. Wonderful (Chris) I attempted to show how the piggy teapot works in real life—in the ideal world the wind would not have been whipping around at 70 miles per hour (I blame the bad hair on that, folks) and the photographer would have been able to focus a bit. As you can tell from the pictures below there is a definite skill to pouring tea out of a pig’s nostrils. One I did not have this day and will work hard to perfect. But it made for some great laughs and yes…..the tea was fabulous even if I did lose half of it in the pouring!! Enjoy! And thank you, Micah! I love it!
Fun time. You are looking very pretty and happy.
Well aren’t you just sweet?? Thank you? I was giggling because the pig was peeing when I was pouring!
what a cute pot! love it!
Thanks, Hilary!! It is a special one because Micah got it for me!!!
And this little piggy had tea…cute
Even if this little piggy doesn’t pour out of his nostrils well!!!
I love it. Especially, the little piglet on top. It looks like the perfect one cup teapot. So cute. We had a tea party yesterday… I posted it on my blog. It was so fun.
I am loving my piggy!!! Gonna hop over to your tea party in a minute!!! 🙂
What an adoreable tea pot, Beth Ann!!! Looked like you were serving me a cup of tea…thank you;)
I lost half of it on the plate and saucer but I had good intentions!!! 🙂
it is adorable!! I have this little do-hickey thing that you place in the spout and then the tea never drips. I do believe “do-hickey” is the official name. 🙂
I am sure do-hickey is the correct term. Either that or thingamabob!!! My problem was I was trying to pour it too fast, I think!
What a cute teapot! That was worth a trip to the beach, wasn’t it? lol
Totally worth the trip!!! 🙂
I think Micah did a great job with the pig teapot. I have never seen anything like it. I love it.
He is a good boy!!! It made me smile to think of him in a market in California finding it for me!!!
What sweet photos. I love watching the progression of your attempts to pour. Cute pot–lovely you! Hope your Tuesday has been wonderful!
Hugs,
Kathy
Attempts is the right word!! I did drink it but after I poured it back into the cup from the saucer…..’What a klutz! I was giggling by the time I was done!
I love tea pots!! I saw your name on Audrey’s Minnesota Prairie Roots blog and thought I’d check yours out! I love your comments for a cause idea – that’s awesome!
Gretchen–Thanks for stopping by!!! I have been featuring a teapot every Tuesday from my collection for over a year so check the archives or the tab at the top of my blog with teapots on it!!! Glad to find another teapot lover!!!!
This teapot made me laugh–how funny!
It is cute, isn’t it, Karen!!! Definitely one of a kind!
Cute idea for a teapot 🙂
Too bad it didn’t work well.
Beth Ann, that is a super cute teapot. My sister loves pigs – I could see her enjoying this little guy. The pictures are fun, too. Happy birthday!
Well thank you!!! i loved it when he showed it to me!!! It is teeny so not a “sharing tea” teapot but perfect for just one!!!
I love it! What s cute little thing. And the pictures of you are good too. You look like you’re having fun.
I was cracking up because I was having such a tough time getting the tea in the cup!!! Crazy pig!
Thank you for your comment on my Farina Muffins post. I popped over to see what’s happening at your place and I want to stay forever. I LOVE teapots and teacups and the ritual of tea. Your little piggy teapot is a delight. Your son has great taste and seems to know his mom. 🙂
I have a bunch of teacups I picked up at an estate sale. I really need to get them photographed and up on my site so others can enjoy them. Thanks for the inspiration.
I saw a tweet about your muffins and that is what landed me there! (Lenore’s). Would love to see your treasures of teacups! I have been doing Teapot Tuesday for over a year and lots of people seem to like my collection! Come back anytime!!!!
