Getting My Craft On

So now that I finally got my office/crafting area organized I thought I would share a couple pictures of things that went on this week in that wonderfully organized area!!  There is one project that I have to save for a couple of weeks to post but suffice it to say—-I am excited about it and can’t wait to do more!!!!

The main project this week was to make some cards.  My supply is dwindling basically because during Lent I promised that instead of giving something up I would write a letter every day (well–40 days at least) to someone in my life who has made a difference to me or is important to me in some way.  I have way more than 40 people so it may continue beyond Easter but for now that was what I planned to do.  And it has been pretty neat to sit down with a pretty card and stick a letter in telling someone how much they mean to me.  We don’t do that enough, in my humble opinion.

So here are a few of the cards that I have made over the past week.  It is so much easier to find things now that I am organized.  Still haven’t actually pulled the Cricut out but had fun doing these even without it!!!  Plenty of time for that later!  I didn’t take very great pictures this time but you get the idea!!!

  1. Wow, those are great! You must have so much fun doing them…

  2. Your cards are beautiful … this is the first time I have seen any of your work. I look forward to seeing more.

Organizing is a pain, but it pays off. I have had to stop and take the time to do it myself. The trick is to keep it that way. It takes time, but well worth it.

    • I probably could do a huge post on the cards I have made–not sure how many folks are really interested but you know what—they could skip reading for the day, right? :O It’s all good!!! Organizing is so worth it in the end but until it is done it is a HUGE mess!!! I can attest to that!!! Happy Sunday!

  3. You are so talented in so many ways Beth Ann,,How do you find the time? I have trouble just keeping up with my blog and my e-mails..oh, and a game or two of words with friends..as you know.

  4. Nice job, Beth Ann. I need to follow your good example.

  5. First, I think it’s great that you wrote letters for Lent. That’s one of the coolest things I’ve heard of in a while!

Also, these cards are so, so fun. Wish I could craft with you. My favorite is the “over the hill” card! Well done, my friend!

    Hugs,
    Kathy

Your cards are beautiful! I just got up to take a rest as I have been working on my cards.

  7. Beth Ann, these are awesome. I love the butterfly ones… if I had the time I would love to do something like that. Maybe one day when my nest is empty and I have more time. 🙂

Of course I loved them all!! I really need to get some done this week. Keep the pictures coming. You know I love seeing what you come up with each time.

  9. What a nice thing to do!

    • I try!!! 🙂 It is really a good exercise in thanking people for what they have done in my life and has been received really well!!! I am receiving as well as giving!

Adorable! That’s a lot of work…your recipients will be touched I’m sure.

    • Thanks!! It is such a great creative outlet for me and it has gotten a little out of control when I look at all of my “supplies” but still…I love making them!
