It’s Friday!!! Time to Hop!

Each week, Hilary at Feeling Beachie lists four statements with a blank for you to fill in on your own blogs. If you want to join the fun and come up with four fill in’s of your own, please email them to her at If used , you will be added as a  co-host to the hop! This week’s co-host is Brenda Youngerman, from ficton with a purpose.  She came up with the last statements.

I REALLY can use some co-hosts… So PLEASE email some statements….

Help  spread the word about this hop…. So, please tweet,FaceBook share, and add the linky to your post…

This week’s statements:

1. When I was little, all I wanted was a _____

2. I always want to love to ____ but no matter how hard I try, I don’t.

3. The ___________________ of it all was that ______________________

4. The mist around the mountains makes me

My Answers:

1. When I was little all I wanted was a younger brother or sister.  But since I was number 4 and the perfect child that was not going to happen!!!  🙂

2.  I always wanted to love to swim but no matter how hard I try I don’t.

3. The  truth of it all was that I had a  swimming teacher that scared me and scarred me for life… sad……guess I need to get over that.  (Maybe if I had these guys to look at I would be more willing to swim….)

4. The mist around the mountains makes me grateful that I can see them and be a witness to the beauty that God has created.

Thanks, Hilary for the blog hop and it is great to be back with Java at Never Growing Old for her blog hops, too!

  1. WOW…if I had swimming teachers like that I would have loved to swim too…but alas I learned to swim in the ocean and now I cannot stand to swim either!
    Have a great weekend!

  2. Wow……I love to swim and can tread water forever. But sssshhhhh….don’t let them know! I feel a sudden cramp coming on……LOL

  3. I was number four, too, but got a cat instead of a sibling. Love the pictures

  4. You did a great job with this! I am terrible at “fill in the blank” things.

  5. That is terrible about being scared by your swimming teacher! My husband taught swimming for years and would be horrified to hear that you had that experience with a teacher.

The mountain picture is just beautiful! Thanks for sharing!

    Have a great weekend!

    • I know! My husband is a really good swimmer and even he has not been able to convince me to not be scared and I totally trust him so I guess I wrecked for life!!!! Oh dear!! Thanks for stopping by!

  6. I would have loved a sister, older or younger. I was stuck with an older brother.
You really should get back into the swim lessons. Not all teachers are scary! Go for it!! You’re never too old!

  7. you were the cutest kid ever… I love your hair. I never liked swimming either (always afraid to get pool water in my mouth) but a few summers ago I really learned to swim & now I love it!

    • Thanks! My mom and dad called it my dairy queen hair because it was like the top of an ice cream cone!!! I think it is great that you really learned to swim–especially because of where you live. I know I would love it if I could just get that mean woman’s face out of my head!!

I love your comments--each one makes me smile and makes a difference for Comments for a Cause! Thanks!
